The City of Salem Oregon recently purchased 13 pumpers from KME. Departments nationwide can take advantage of the first rate design and engineering on this project as well as the volume pricing associated with the purchase. Local purchasing regulations permitting, fire departments can “add-on” to this program. Page 4 of the Salem bid, paragraph 19 (Cooperative Purchasing) states: “Pursuant to ORS 279A.200 to 279A.225, other public agencies may use the purchase agreement resulting from this invitation to bid…”
